I Have an Idea #2

OK, I'm on the market for a water-proof writing board that I can keep in the shower. Seriously, how great would that be. Personally, all my great ideas occur in the shower.  I'm not sure if it's because I think better when my hair is wet or what, but boy I really do some good thinking in there.  Maybe it's because it's the only time in the day when I'm totally alone (aside from the occasional child who busts in to ask me where something is...) and have nothing to distract me from my thoughts.

As an artist, I think it's important to keep track of ideas and thoughts you want to create. I have several note pads around the house that I can jot down ideas for shoots or things I want  to write about. However, If all the ideas come in the shower where should I write them?  Today I tried writing one on the glass shower door. It disappeared by the time I dried off. Besides, my husband may start thinking I'm losing it if he starts seeing my musings spread out all over the door. And there is that obsessive need I have to squeegee the water off the door after every shower...

Now, if you're not sitting down you should, because as I'm writing this blog I have come across the most wonderful discovery! I googled "waterproof writing board" and this is what I found! A blog entry about studies that show MANY people have creative and fabulous ides that come to them in the SHOWER!! Could you die? I love the realization that I am not alone, and more importantly, I am not a loon.  To read the article go here!  The writer also provides a link to the most amazing little notepad that you can use in the shower, and never lose a fabulous idea again. Sure not totally my idea, but I did think of it in the shower.

  1. Hi Kelley, I guess it's the little things in life that make it more pleasurable ;-)
Just be careful with those morning "Eureka" moments in the shower not to spend so much time writing, that a long queue of family members wanting to use the bathroom begins to form outside the door!

    Best regards,
