We left our home at 6am to fly off into the "future" time zone of the East Coast of North Carolina. We shared the beach with my long-time friend Mary and her family. That alone was exciting because I hadn't seen Mary or her husband Doug for 16 years.
We stayed in a beach house right on the sand at Oak Island. We laid in the sun, swam in the ocean, took long walks along the shore with Millie May the dog, and played games into the late night with the McManus Family. Amanda and I got stung by jellyfish and caught in a real life thunderstorm. We just had a lot of adventures that I want to share.
Here we are on our way to the airport:
So it looks like we're really great videographers! I think not, but at least we have something! By the way is our driver illegally texting while she's driving us to the airport? Just asking...
See you here tomorrow for the first story. ;-)
Hi Kelley,
ReplyDeleteSounds like all must be well in the Simpson household from your comments above. Must've been a great time bar the jellyfish incidents - hope that wasn't too painful!
As for the driver texting, well I can't speak for US federal / state laws but over here in the UK that would be illegal and a very big no-no - even more riskier to do so on a freeway at higher speeds. Funnily enough I caught a TV programme about this last night and they were stating that reading/ writing texts whilst at the wheel is as dangerous as drink-driving.
David,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I hope you come back to see the upcoming pix! In California its illegal to do anything on your phone while driving except talk on a hands free device. We gave each other a couple of side glances as our driver almost ran us to the side of the road a couple of times. She had the GPS and cell phone going during our drive there.
I have to agree about the cell phone dangers.
Wonderful to hear from you, hope all is well!

Sounds like you had a blast on holiday; quality time with quality people...that's what it's all about huh :)
Catch you soon,
All the best to you and yours,
Glyn
